Follow these 7 steps to complete your repair
Prepare the Device
Begin by powering off your Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus completely. Use the SIM eject tool to remove the SIM card tray and set it aside. This will prevent any accidental damage during the screen replacement process.
Heat and Remove the Back Cover
Use a heat gun or hairdryer to evenly heat the edges of the back cover to soften the adhesive. Once heated, use a suction cup to lift the back cover gently. Insert a plastic opening tool to carefully separate the back cover from the frame. Work your way around the edges to fully remove the back cover.
Disconnect the Battery
Locate the battery connector on the motherboard. Use a spudger to gently disconnect the battery to ensure no power flows through the device during the repair.
Remove the Old Screen
Apply gentle heat around the edges of the screen using the heat gun. Once the adhesive is softened, use a suction cup and a plastic opening tool to lift and carefully pry the screen away from the frame. Be mindful of the screen cables and disconnect them using tweezers.
Install the New Screen
Before installing the new screen, clean the frame using isopropyl alcohol and a microfiber cloth to remove any residue. Align the new screen with the frame and connect the screen cables. Ensure the screen is properly seated and secured with adhesive strips or double-sided tape.
Reassemble the Device
Reconnect the battery connector to the motherboard. Carefully place the back cover back onto the device. Apply gentle heat to the edges to reseal the adhesive. Press down firmly to ensure a good seal.
Test the New Screen
Power on the device and test the new screen to ensure it is functioning correctly. Check for touch sensitivity and display clarity. If any issues are found, double-check the connections.
