Remove the Back Cover
Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry around the edges of the back cover to release the clips. Carefully lift the cover off once it is loose. Set it aside in a safe place.
Disconnect the Battery
Using a Phillips #00 screwdriver, remove the screws securing the battery connector shield. Use a spudger to gently disconnect the battery connector to avoid shorting the device.
Heat the Edges of the Screen
Using a heat gun or hairdryer, carefully apply heat around the edges of the screen to soften the adhesive. Be sure to move the heat source continuously to prevent overheating any part of the phone.
Remove the Broken Screen
Place a suction cup near the edge of the screen and gently lift to create a gap. Insert a plastic opening tool into the gap and work your way around the edges to loosen the adhesive. Carefully lift the screen away from the device.
Install the New Screen
Align the replacement screen with the device and carefully press it into place. Ensure the connectors are properly aligned and press gently around the edges to secure the adhesive.
Reconnect the Battery
Reconnect the battery connector using the spudger. Replace the battery connector shield and secure it with the screws previously removed.
Reattach the Back Cover
Align the back cover with the device and press down along the edges to snap it back into place. Ensure all clips are securely fastened.
