Follow these 9 steps to complete your repair
Power Off the Device
Hold down the power button and select 'Power Off' to ensure the device is completely turned off before starting the repair.
Remove the Back Cover and Battery
Use a plastic opening tool to gently pry off the back cover. Once the cover is removed, take out the battery by lifting it from its compartment.
Remove the Midframe
Using a Torx T4 screwdriver, remove all screws securing the midframe. Carefully pry the midframe away from the rest of the phone using a plastic opening tool.
Disconnect the Screen
Use tweezers to gently disconnect the display cable from the motherboard. This connector is delicate, so handle it carefully.
Heat and Remove the Old Screen
Apply heat around the edges of the screen using a heat gun or hair dryer to soften the adhesive. Use a suction cup to lift the screen slightly, then insert a plastic opening tool to separate the screen from the frame. Be cautious not to damage the internal components.
Clean the Frame
Remove any remaining adhesive from the frame using isopropyl alcohol and a lint-free cloth. Ensure the surface is clean and free of residue for the new screen installation.
Install the New Screen
Carefully align the new screen with the frame and press it into place. Reconnect the display cable to the motherboard, ensuring it clicks securely.
Reassemble the Phone
Reattach the midframe and secure it with the screws removed earlier. Reinsert the battery, snap the back cover back on, and ensure all components are properly aligned.
Test the New Screen
Power on the device to ensure the new screen is functioning correctly. Test the touch responsiveness and display quality to confirm the repair was successful.
